Moulded crayons are the fun end of the range: shapes cast from your own tooling, stackable building blocks, multi-colour swirls that lay down two or three colours in one stroke, and chunky forms that double as a toy.

The trade-off is branding. A moulded crayon has no paper wrap, so the printed surface disappears and everything moves to the box or the sleeve. We say that up front rather than after the tooling is cut, because it changes where your design budget should go.

Shape also changes the blend. A thin projection on a moulded form snaps in exactly the way a barrel does, so the geometry gets reviewed for weak points before tooling — a shape that looks great in a render and breaks in a hand is an expensive mistake to discover late.

Where does our logo go on a moulded crayon?

On the box or sleeve, almost always. A moulded crayon has no paper wrap, and embossing a mark into wax reads poorly and wears off with use. We would rather tell you that before the tooling is cut than let you discover it on the first sample.

Can any shape be moulded?

Most can, but thin projections snap the same way thin barrels do. We review the geometry for weak points before tooling and will suggest thickening a detail rather than deliver something that arrives beautiful and breaks in the first hand that uses it.
